Salaam Namaste (2005): Hello and greetings

32. Salaam Namaste (2005) — Surprisingly modern eh! Must conclude that I was surprised by a few ‘developments’ in the movie as I am in all honesty a fussy prude, hee. Saif Ali Khan has impeccable comic timing. Preity Zinta packs a whopper of a scream. Arshad Warsi (insane sidekick from Munnabhai MBBS) is … insanely funny. Javed Jafferi, the insane landlord, is … just insane. Why did the house have so many chairs if no guests were allowed? A very well-thought-out, well-made, likeable movie, enhanced by ticklish audience reactions at the packed-to-the-rafters Bedok Cinema 2, tasty grub at Bombay Cafe and the company of lovely folks.

  1. Good lord, you’re unstoppable I see. Everything holding up at home with your grandma I hope! Lemme know when you can emerge from your burrow. In the meantime, chin up!
